Two youthful foreign tourists left their comment sense at home:
An Adelaide man who allegedly launched a vicious sex attack on two young female backpackers camping with him on the Coorong last night has appeared in court.
The women, aged in their 20s, met the man on Tuesday and were travelling with him from Adelaide to the eastern states.
The trio were staying at a campsite near Tea Tree Crossing, 9km south of Salt Creek, when the 59-year-old, from Morphett Vale, allegedly attacked the women.
The man appeared via video link in Adelaide Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with attempted murder, unlawful sexual intercourse without consent, unlawful detention and aggravated causing serious harm.
“Effectively these two ladies have been driving with a newly acquainted person and effectively found themselves in a situation which has turned out to be rather scary and physically bad for them.”
Victim blaming? Yep, these unfortunate young ladies appear to have made some really bad decisions.
