French-born Australian Julia Zemiro is apparently multi-talented – “television presenter, radio host, actress, singer, writer and comedian” – but cannot write. Her first ever effort for ABC News’s The Drum is a rambling, muddled mishmash, the point seemingly that men are bad and the media is inclined to blame females for the violence inflicted on them by evil male partners.
Zemiro fails to note, however, that females are at least as violent as their male partners:
Among large population samples, 57.9% of [Intimate Partner Violence] reported was bi-directional, 42% unidirectional; 13.8% of the unidirectional violence was male to female (MFPV), 28.3% was female to male (FMPV).
Read Zemiro at your peril; you’ll be dumber for it.
