Horst Seehofer, premier of Bavaria, tells Chancellor Merkel he does not share her “We can do it” approach to resettling over a million recent migrants adding, “The situation is too problematic.”
Within hours of their meeting Merkel announced that no more migrants will be accepted for the foreseeable future and that several hundred thousand single males aged 20 – 50 deemed to be economic migrants would be deported to their point of origin. Merkel explains the policy change:
“It is my deep conviction that we cannot let our way of life be destroyed.”
Actual there is no policy change:
On Thursday Merkel said that she would not allow jihadists to keep her government from being guided by reason and compassion.
“Despite the great unease these events inspire, fear can’t be the guide for political decisions,” she said.
“It is my deep conviction that we cannot let our way of life be destroyed,” he added.
Germans’ way of life, and their very lives, are already being destroyed.
