GENDER IMBALANCE

The world of work will continue to be inequitable so long as males and females are employed in unequal numbers in comparable positions. The gender balance within the Australian Human Rights Centre at the University of New South Wales must be immediately corrected.

It’s shocking that 12 of the Centre’s 17 executive staff are female. The situation is even worse in the Strengthening Australian University Responses to Sexual Assault and Harassment Project working party: the three project leaders are female; 17 females are members of the 22 person working party itself; and there is one consultant, a female. So, out of 26 people, only five are male.
