NAME SUPPRESSED TO PROTECT THE GUILTY

Danish authorities have suppressed the names of an accused killer and four victims, his three children and their mother. The suppression order was requested by the prosecutor, who argued that revealing the names “would expose those close to the victims to an unnecessary intrusion.

It could be that Danish authorities are keen to avoid possible embarrassment arising from the unusually violent domestic crime, the suspect disrupting court proceedings by shouting “in a language native to Afghanistan”.
