Australian Human Rights Commission president Gillian Triggs credits the Yassmin Abdel-Magied Anzac day backlash to “increased racism against Muslims” even though Islam is a religion, not a race.
Triggs has a similarly deluded view of her “controversial tenure” at the AHRC:
“I am coming to the view that they have been able to say things about me, and attack me, in a way that never would have happened to a man. And I am sorry to say that, but it’s true.’’
Wrong. Totalitarian suppression of free speech is detestable no matter the sex of the suppressor.
