ENERGY EPIPHANY

Born in the early 70s to hippy parents, multi-cause activist Michael Shellenberger is praised by Wired as “the best thing to happen to environmentalism since Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring”, Time labelling him a “hero of the environment”. In the video below – a November 2017 Ted-x talk – he proposes a radical path to “prosperity” via “cheap energy”. The presentation was in Berlin, so he concentrates on Germany’s adoption of solar and wind power as alternatives to nuclear. Enjoy.
